In honor of the launch of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron and the Sony Star Wars Battlefront PSP Entertainment Pack, Sony and LucasArts are throwing a launch party at the Sony Metreon in San Francisco that’s open to the public!
Next Tuesday, Oct. 9, starting at 6pm, at the Sony PlayStation Store at the Metreon (101 4th Street, San Francisco, CA) we’ll be celebrating, Star Wars style!
- Prizes, prizes, prizes! Not only will you be able to get your picture taken and inserted into the box art for Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, but you’ll also get a free prize just for doing so! The first 200 people who buy the PSP bundle will get a special Han Solo in Carbonite PSP case to hold their new, white PSP. To top it all off, everyone who comes in a Star Wars costume will get a raffle ticket and a chance to win a Darth Vader Episode III Lightsaber from Master Replicas.
- Special appearances by Star Wars characters. Word has spread throughout the universe that the Sith Lord himself, Darth Vader, plans to make an appearance to oversee the first sale of the PSP bundle. Several bounty hunters have also notified us that they will be on hand to quell any disturbances, and a squad of infantry from the 501st Squadron will be there to entertain the crowd.
- Hands on with Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. Sony will have numerous kiosks available to get hands on with the game, and with so many like-minded potential owners in one place, impromptu Wi-Fi multiplayer games are sure to break out.
So if you live in or around the San Francisco Bay Area, please stop by next Tuesday. It’ll be a blast!
