Many people have said that it takes two people to produce a work of art, the artist and someone who keeps them from destroying the art. Scott was hugely influenced by Star Wars before making Alien, and in turn Blade Runners adult tone and seriousness made Ford think twice about doing Jedi. Despite being re-released almost as many times as the trilogy, this is one box set that no true sci-fi fan can be without. Classic film. No kidding, this is an essential film in so many ways.
