Curious if this will be a "do-over" of the previous Clone Wars animated series (which was brilliant) or something additional that tips its hat to the existing material. For example...if Grievous got his cough from Mace Windu, only moments before Anakin and Obi-Wan's rescue attempt, why does he have a cough in this series.

Obviously, continuity is a fluid thing and material needs to have a life of its own. Still, though, it seemed that the previous Clone Wars animation was pretty canonical stuff. Does this replace the previous series?

Nice costume, Dave. Now I can be smug about making the robes for the guy who is in charge of the Clone Wars series. LOL.

It's probably been dealt with already, but does the new Clone Wars series conflict with the previous Cartoon Network series? I also thought that Revenge of the Sith closed the book on the Clone Wars.

Pete--thanks for the reply. You're quite lucky to have gotten a look at the first couple episodes! Judging by what's in the trailer, I'm quite sure I won't be disappointed at all. :)

pvilmur, are there any plans to release the trailer in better quality, say as a hi-res QuickTime movie, on starwars.com? It really is a shame that this great video is only available in such a poor quality as it is right now.

Thanks! :)

Tarfful -- My impression was that the EU will be taken very seriously and that there will only be occassional and minor variations from the EU canon. Filoni is unbelievably well-versed in EU lore -- this truly could not be in better hands. I am sincerely excited about this animated series, and I'm not just saying that as a company man -- I've seen two episodes now and I can say with certaintly that fans will NOT be disappointed!

Tagne -- I'd love to post those as well and will see about getting them up. I imagine the tour video will be easier to get clearance for than the actual slideshow, which reveals sculptures, etc.
