For all the prequels' faults, the entire saga was really blessed to have John Williams and Ben Burtt all the way through. Williams gave the movies their emotional and dramatic core, and Burtt's sound effects made that distant galaxy alive and unmistakable. Even just the particular metallic echo on C3PO's voice takes you straight there. Burtt has an amazing talent for designing sounds that are both exotic and familiar, making the films at once escapist and believable. That's a longer way of saying he's the man.
